Abstract
PURPOSE: A channel compensation method and wireless communication system in the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing system on the frequency-selective fading channel are provided to improve the overall error performance by reducing the possibility of error generation in a period where the amplitude of a channel is small. CONSTITUTION: A channel compensation method and wireless communication system in the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing system on the frequency-selective fading channel includes a transmitting terminal(I) and a receiving terminal(II). The transmitting terminal(I) modulates a vector for transmitting the information into an OFDM based signal by performing at least two time of Fourier transformations and transmits it through a multipath fading, and also it modulates a pilot symbol vector for predicting the amplitude and phase of the multipath fading channel into the OFDM based signal and transmits it through the multipath fading channel. The receiving terminal(II) predicts the amplitude and phase of the multipath fading channel by demodulating the pilot symbol vector received through the multipath fading channel, and it outputs the noise signal value by calculating the average value in the OFDM symbol period after the amplitude and phase of the channel are compensated by using the amplitude and phase of the predicted channel.
