Abstract
Pilot commands from a joystick (2) are captured by sensors (4,6) and sent to a calculator (7) which causes actuators (12) to move control surfaces (10). Integral attenuation units (13,14) prevent a too rapid joystick operation and additional controllable attenuation units (15,16) are started by a pilot induced oscillation detector in the calculator and may operate constantly or in proportion to the amount of oscillation. An Independent claim is also included for a pilot control which includes means of detecting pilot induced oscillations and initiating the operation of controllable attenuation units.
