Periodically responsive overload indicator according to patent 577 870 The main patent proposes an overload indicator, the basic idea of which is to use the control currents (modulation currents) to cause a device to respond when a certain value is exceeded, which is designed so that it periodically, regardless of whether the override still persists or not, is switched off and returned to the rest position. If the override continues after returning to the rest position, the device will respond again, while if it is no longer overdriven, it will remain in the rest position.
The present invention relates to a further development of the main patent
proposed device, and that the same is made more sensitive,
that a device working in the manner of the so-called known kallirotron
Use that responds to the control currents. The kallirotron circuit
is essentially characterized by the fact that there are two tubes
Anode currents individually in a resistor located in the lattice circle of the other tube
generate a grid voltage which is so dimensioned that one of the two tubes
is taken out of service.
P abgenommenen Gittervorspannung entsprechend eingestellt.
Signallampe dauernd brennen. The idea of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the figure. The primary winding of a transformer T1, the secondary winding of which is located in the grid circle of a relay tube R, is connected to the line r, z carrying the control currents. The tube R is connected as an anode rectifier and has the purpose of causing the device to respond only when a certain value of the control voltage is exceeded. For this purpose, the limit voltage is set accordingly with the aid of the grid bias voltage taken from the potentiometer P. The actual kallirotron has the tubes R and R2, their mode of operation. consists in the fact that, due to the instability of the intermediate layers, anode current only flows through one of the two tubes and not through the other. In the case of application, the tube data, voltages and resistances are selected so that no anode current flows through the tube R,. As a result, the grid bias of the tube R2 is the most positive possible. If a directional current now flows through the resistor W1, the common anode resistance of the relay tube R and the tube Rt, which in the present case consists of a series connection of an ohmic resistor and a relay winding A, because the limit voltage is exceeded, a voltage drop occurs at the resistor W1 . This gives tube R2 a more negative grid bias. The anode current of this tube falls, and the negative grid bias for the grid of tube R1, generated by the anode quiescent current across resistor W2, drops; in other words, the grid voltage of the tube R i is shifted towards the positive region, whereby the anode current of the tube R1 increases. This again results in an increase in the negative grid bias of tube R2. Given the appropriate dimensioning, because of the instability of the intermediate layers, the play continues until tube R1 carries the full current and tube R2 is put out of operation. The relay A has two contacts; one, r, switches on the signal lamp S, the other, t, causes the automatic shutdown within the meaning of the main patent. For this purpose, the contact t is connected to the grid of the tube R1 via a manually operated switch TI. If it is closed, the shutdown takes place in the following way: Relay A is triggered as a result of the kallirotron circuit, as stated above. As soon as the same has responded, the tube R1 is put out of operation, causing the relay to drop out. With this, however, the response of the tube R1 begins again. If the FI switch is open, the signal lamp remains lit continuously.
