Abstract

The present invention relates to a foldable wheelchair with adjustable drive wheels. The wheelchair comprises telescopic elements (41,40) on each side, said telescopic elements being telescopically guided by a vertically extending frame tube (17,18) and pivotally attached at their upper end to seat tubes (11,12), adapted to carry the seat of the wheelchair. The wheelchair further comprises retainer elements (31,32,33,34), which are attached to upper side frame tubes (7,8) extending in a rear-to-front direction, or to the seat tubes (11,12), the retainer elements (31,32,33,34) receiving and stabilising the seat tubes (11,12) when the wheelchair is in a deployed position of use.
