Abstract

A development-free, heat-sensitive lithographic printing plate precursor comprising a support on which an image-forming layer and an overcoat layer are provided in this order: with the image-forming layer comprising hydrophobic thermoplastic polymer particles dispersed in a hydrophilic binder polymer, and with the overcoat layer being soluble in water and comprising a compound capable of converting light into heat.
