The correct functioning of energy direction relays in selective protective circuits -is easily called into question by the fact that the mains voltage at a large Short-circuit occurring in the vicinity at the relay location almost completely disappears.
Therefore, according to the invention, a DC relay is used for these purposes, the only of an alternating current quantity, ζ. Β. is excited by the current of the alternating current circuit, while that, other AC magnitude, ζ. Β. the tension, periodic interruptions of the excitation circuit. In the event of a fault, the power system of the Relay does not have the necessary excitation, so that the relay even with very obvious short circuits not fail. The use of a mechanical pendulum or membrane equalizer is recommended for the interruption rehters, because this rectifier has an extraordinary have low own consumption and still work perfectly even with negligibly small voltages. For the Invention, it is basically irrelevant whether the voltage excited, synchronous with the mains frequency and in a fixed phase relation to the mains voltage working rectifier interrupted the circuit of the relay or whether the current winding of the relay is periodically short-circuited. When using a relay with two Windings, every half-wave of the mains voltage can be used in such a way that they create a Current can come about in the relay. A wattmetric relay can also be used, One coil of the current, the other coil of one through the synchronous switch controlled equivalent voltage of constant level is excited. Even with this version one avoids the risk that the wattmetric relay does not receive the minimum voltage required to work.
Zur Erläuterung der Erfindung dienen dieTo explain the invention are used
Figuren. Characters. 1, the excitation winding of a mechanical rectifier Q is connected to the voltage f. The current / for the excitation of the polarized relay R is passed through the contact of the rectifier. The excitation of the relay R then depends on the one hand on the strength of the current / and on the other hand. the phase shift between the voltage E and the current / ab. Basically, voltage and current can be interchanged.
According to FIG. 2, the current / does not flow semi-periodically, but continuously via the relay R. A shunt Z is also provided, which has the task of preventing excessive swelling of the current flowing via the rectifier contact. To calm the current in the relay, capacitors C are connected in parallel to the relay windings.
The periodic short-circuiting of the winding of the relay R is shown in FIG. 3, with current also flowing continuously in the relay R , depending on the position of the armature of the rectifier G through one or the other of the two relay coils.
A particular advantage of such an arrangement arises during use such a relay in place of the wattmetric relay in the frame protection, there the sensitivity of the relay according to the new arrangement on the level of the frame final voltage, d. H. is completely independent of the location of the earth fault.
