Abstract
The installation for recovery of foundry sand from moulds or mould parts includes a recovery chamber (3) and a cooling chamber (4). A hot fluid bed (32) consisting essentially of heated foundry sand (16) suspended by gas flows is generated in the recovery chamber which is supplied with sand moulds and mould parts (37). The cooling chamber houses an analogous fluid bed (33) consisting of cooled foundry sand (16') transferred from the recovery chamber by a transfer device (34).
