Abstract
The safety connection system, for a high tension and high power compact mains current unit has a conical opening (9) round the contact piece (8) at the passage (5) towards the transformer cable. The safety plug (3) at the passage (5) has a conical shoulder (10) for the opening (9), while the shoulder (10) is longer than the opening (9). The shoulder (10) has a passage opening (12) through it to the safety zone (11) of the safety encapsulation (2) for a contact element (13) to the contact piece (8). A swing holding clip (16) at the passage (5) is over the safety plug (3) to press the shoulder (12) into the opening (9), to be fixed in place with electrical insulation. Preferably the safety plug (3) with the shoulder (12) are in one piece, of silicon rubber. The safety plug at the transformer side has a sliding coating of silicon varnish, and the shoulder (10) has a sliding coating of a non-hygroscopic material such as talcum powder.
