Abstract
The appliance to recover heat from an exhaust gas has spiral channels (31) in the exchange zone (47), to carry a medium flow through them. The flow channels (31) are placed in rows at a plate body with their coils on different sides of the body. The plates are built into the exchange zone (47) in a housing (13), in order to divide the interior into hotter (51) and colder (53) zones. The ends of the flow channels (31) are connected to a collector (45) and a distributor (33).
