Abstract

Cylinder (10) of a printing machine is cleaned using an arrangement of a housing (2), open at the side facing the cylinder, contg. a washing roller (7) or cloth which can be wetted with a cleaning fluid. At least one spray nozzle (4) is positioned near the end faces (3) of the housing and pressurised gas may be applied to the nozzle to produce a pressure jet (8) which blows contaminated cleaning fluid from the base of the housing, which contains at least one drain opening. A pref. arrangement is of a nozzle at each end of the housing and a drain at the middle of the base. Pref. gas is compressed air.
