Abstract

A plastic lining for a wire rope is for a reciprocal distancing of two adjacent wire cords, which are arranged in a wreath shape. Each lining (4) has a middle section (7), which is concave on both sides and is located between a head and a base section (6, 8). The cross section of the middle part (7) is reduced compared to the head and base sections (6, 8) and is reinforced by means of a fabric integrated into the lining material.
