The invention relates to a driving-rod lock having a latch which emerges out of the lock-case front and can be actuated by a nut and having at least one driving-rod connection slide, and, in order to achieve a design which is more advantageous in terms of use, the invention proposes a crosswise arrangement between one angle leg (18), running parallel to the lock-case front (1), of the driving-rod connection slide (19) and the latch tail (5'') such that the nut (40) and its point of engagement on the latch tail (5'') are located on the other side of the angle leg (18), parallel to the lock-case front, from the latch head (5'). <IMAGE>
