Abstract

The invention relates to a method and apparatus for eliminating the inclination of a rail vehicle bogie (4, 5) which has wheel units and is provided with a plurality of individual wheels (11, 12, 21, 22). According to the invention, the detected wheel speeds (n11, n12, n21, n22) of the bogie with wheel units (4, 5) are added to one another in crisscross fashion, these total wheel speeds (ns1, ns2) which are formed are logically combined to form a total-difference actual wheel speed value (g) which represents the actual degree of inclination of the bogie (4) and this actual value (g) of the degree of inclination is adjusted to a predeterminable desired value (g') of the degree of inclination. In this way, the degree of inclination of the bogie (4, 5) with wheel units is detected and compensated without additional sensor equipment irrespective of how said inclination was caused, as a result of which optimum running behaviour in straight sections of track and in bends is achieved to the same degree. <IMAGE>
