Abstract

A device for separating off light materials from mineral raw materials, in particular from sand and gravel, having a sorting region which operates according to the fluidised-bed method, having a charging element for the raw material, a discharge for the cleaned material and an overflow for the light materials, is to be improved with respect to the throughput rate and the separating performance. For this purpose, provision is made for the device to be constructed in two stages having an inner chamber (10) with an associated charging arrangement (11) for charging the raw material and the separating the coarse sand and having an outer chamber (23), which surrounds the inner chamber (10) in an annular fashion and is separated off via an overflow (25), for sorting the fine-grade sand, the outer chamber (23) being constructed as a sorting region which operates according to the fluidised-bed method and the overflow (32) for the light materials adjoining said outer chamber (23). <IMAGE>
