Abstract

In the process disclosed, particulate materials are first compacted and then, immediately afterwards, ground in such a way that no dust in produced. The device comprises a pair of compression rollers (4, 5) and, mounted on the output side of these, a third roller (6) or a rotor (7) with a screening unit (13). The process and device are suitable for briquetting, compacting, pelleting and granulating powders, granular materials, pastes and slurries, particularly for pharmaceutical applications.
