Abstract

A slip control system for a motor vehicle is described, in which the wheel rotational speeds are utilised for the slip formation. In order to compensate for tyre tolerances, in a first stage the speed signals (1-4) of the wheels on each side of the vehicle are compared and a correction factor (K13, K24) is obtained for the signal of one wheel on each side, which factor is applied to the signal. In a second stage there then follows a comparison of the speeds of the wheels of each axle and the correction factor (K34, K12) thereby obtained is used in order to adjust the signals of the wheels on one side of the vehicle to those of the other. <IMAGE>
