Description
To protect meshed networks that are fed from any point, verx ^ endeTTnän mostly distance relays, i.e. relays whose tripping time is proportional to the distance Error point up to the installation point of the • relay. A major benefit of this Equipment type exists in addition to the automatic graduation one after the other! legendary Relay in the absence of all connecting lines between those equipped with distance relays Stations. In the case of very short distances, however, this type of protection fails because the function: »Depends on the tripping time The time characteristic of the relays determined by the distance «is practical in its slope a limit is set. This type of protection does not give satisfactory results even if if very short tripping times are required, since the base time of the relays and the grading time add up.
If there are auxiliary lines between the ends of the part of the system to be protected, any short distances can be protected with the shortest possible tripping time. A solution has already been given by means of differential protection, in which the magnitude of the currents or the magnitude of the power at the beginning and end of the part of the plant to be protected are compared in a relay. However, this protective arrangement requires a large number of connecting lines and, in the case of longer distances, additional devices that compensate for the capacitance currents in the auxiliary lines. A much simpler solution is to use energy direction relays at both ends of the line and auxiliary lines to connect the relay trip contacts. In the event of a fault within the plant part to be protected, the energy flows into the plant part from both ends, while in the event of a fault outside the plant part to be protected, it always flows at least. at one end the energy flows out of the system part to the point of failure. A flawless criterion for the error within the part of the plant to be protected exists when the energy \ ; Yaw direction relays swing out at both ends in the sense that energy from both! Sides flows into / into the part of the plant to be protected. If one sees energy direction relays at both ends of the relevant part of the system, which actuate contacts in the event of a fault within this part of the system, and puts these contacts via an auxiliary line in series with the trip coils "of the oil switch delimiting the relevant part of the system and a voltage source, then with practically no delay the oil switch switch off the diseased line section. This arrangement is known per se. It only requires an auxiliary line if the earth serves as a return line. It has the disadvantage that it works with working current, so the auxiliary line does not monitor itself.
According to the invention, the quiescent current is therefore for the operation of the protection arrangement
prinzip in der Weise angewandt, daß jedes Relais je einen Ruhestromkreis unterbricht und daß nur bei gleichzeitiger Unterbrechung beider Ruhestromkreise die Schalter zu beiden Seiten des zu überwachenden Anlageteils ausgelöst werden.principle applied in such a way that each Relay each interrupts a closed circuit and that only when interrupted at the same time of both closed circuits, the switches on both sides of the part of the system to be monitored to be triggered.
The illustration . shows an embodiment in which two auxiliary lines 1 and 2 are provided between stations A and B. 3 and 4 are the contacts of the energy direction relay, 5 to 8 relay magnets, which in the event of an interruption. of the auxiliary line circuit, actuate contacts 9 to 12. The contacts 9 and 11 are parallel to one another in series with the oil switch trigger 13, which operates with closed current, so that the oil switch is only triggered when the contacts are actuated at the same time. Correspondingly, the contacts 10 and 12 are connected to the oil switch trigger 14 at the other end of the line.
If the line to be protected is now de-energized, contacts 3 and 4 of the two directional relays are closed. A current flows in both auxiliary lines; during normal operation, e.g. B. with energy direction from A to B, the energy direction relay in A opens contact 3 and interrupts the circuit in the auxiliary line 1. However, contact 4 of the energy direction relay in B remains closed because at this point energy flows out of the part of the plant to be protected. The circuit of the other auxiliary line 2 is not interrupted, so that no oil switch can be triggered. Only if. 3 and 4 are opened, contacts 9 and 11 as well as 10 and 12 are interrupted at the same time and both oil switches are triggered. If working current is provided for the oil switch release, then contacts 9 and 11 or 10 and i "2 must be connected in series.
