Abstract

A rubber mixture is proposed which forms a durable bond to copper alloys on vulcanisation. According to the invention, at least one monosaccharide from the group comprising the ketoses is admixed, as adhesion additive, with the rubber mixture. This adhesion additive is particularly toxicologically acceptable and can be mixed and processed without problems. The resultant vulcanisates have very good values with respect to moisture resistance and oxidative ageing.
