Abstract

The invention relates to a method of heat treating workpieces (metal, ceramic) in a continuous furnace and, at the same time, especially to the influencing of the flow of the treatment-gas atmosphere existing in the furnace. It is possible to influence the flow of the furnace gas by blowing in a proportion of the treatment gas required for the heat treatment at a pressure lying above the normal feed pressure of the treatment gas and directed into one or more furnace zones.
