Patentiert im Deutschen Reiche vom 20. August 1932 abPatented in the German Empire on August 20, 1932
The subject matter of the invention relates to an electroacoustic apparatus, in particular Microphone or telephone, and aims to improve the same through improvement its frequency curve.
Such apparatus have a plurality of vibrating parts, resonators, e.g. B. Membrane, air space between membrane housings, 'air space between membrane and Speech or, in the case of telephones, between the membrane and the outer tube, pre-membrane, etc. Each of these vibrating parts has one own resonance in a very specific area of the frequency band to be transmitted. The superposition of these resonances results in an irregular frequency curve, which has pronounced peaks of great magnitude Has steepness. But that means that certain tones are disproportionately loud are transferred, while the closest due to the steepness only are still faint or can no longer be heard at all.
If one tries to create the frequency curve by systematically stringing together these resonances, to equalize roughly in the upper part of the frequency band, it turns out that this means that the strong fluctuations in the frequency characteristic cannot be eliminated easily. This is due to the fact that the resonance curves consistently correspond to the resonance frequency have an asymmetrical course, through which, with superposition, several such curves result in a considerable increase in magnification the steepness of the resulting curves can occur.
In the accompanying drawing, FIG. 1 shows a resultant R , "which has arisen, for example, from superposition of three such resonance curves i, 2, 3, which are damped to different degrees. It can be seen that the ß caused by the drop in the slightly damped curve ι Steepness is only slightly alleviated by adding the resonances 2 and 3 and this hardly extends the transmission frequency band.
The object of the invention now avoids these disadvantages in that the electroacoustic apparatus-forming resonators are designed and dimensioned in such a way that that their resonances line up in the direction of increasing frequencies with decreasing decrements of attenuation. By this arrangement gives a resultant with superposition of the different resonances, which is significantly flattened and has a slight steepness over a significant larger area of the frequency band to be transmitted than that previously Case was.

Attenuation is due, among other things, to friction, inertia and the telephone membranes due to the eddy currents occurring during their oscillation. By additional Aids or by appropriate dimensioning or design of the individual Resonators, the resonance of the same is shifted in relation to the frequency band in such a way that that the most strongly damped to resonance, i.e. the curve which the has the lowest slope, appears as the lower curve, while the frequency curve of the one Resonator, which has the greatest steepness, in the upper part of the frequency band is moved. Furthermore, means can be provided according to the invention which are able to influence the level of the resonance in order to give the same to each other to be adjusted in order to achieve a frequency curve that results as uniformly as possible. This is preferably done by increasing or decreasing the friction moving parts, by changing the masses of the vibrating parts, by Veras Change of the passage openings for the moving air parts, etc. allows. Other Aids are, for example, paper disks, silk disks, pressure screws, changes of the air space, arrangement of air gaps in the membrane, insertion of Band filters, roughening of the surface bordering on moving air parts, narrow training the magnetic cores etc.
Appropriately, a part of the electroacoustic can also be used as additional attenuation Use apparatus, which is suitable to pass on the energy destroyed by the damping as active power z. B. by using the carbon grain chamber as a dampening means, by having the same to a certain extent bulging. This arrangement dampens the Resonance achieved without a resonance in the area below and above this to cause such damping and thus a reduction in performance, since the energy destroyed by the damping of the Membrane as active power in the form of changes in resistance that determine the volume is dispensed in the coal grain chamber.
The frequency curves 1, 2 and 3 shown in FIG. 2 in the accompanying drawing are the same as that shown in Fig. 1, but according to the invention after its damping orderly. As can be seen from this figure, a resulting one is obtained Curve /? Which is flattened and extends over a substantial part of the frequency band extends, the steepness is significantly reduced.
