Step selector according to patent 485-959 Patent 4.85 959 protects a step selector with two contact groups for connecting the poles of a two-pole diverter switch with the even-numbered or odd-numbered taps of a step transformer, in which the two contact groups can be alternately moved independently of one another. As shown in Figs. I and 2 of Patent Specification -185 959, such tap selectors are usually carried out with straight or circular movement of the connecting contacts, which are then moved alternately by some gear. A particularly advantageous special case of the linear scale selector, the hereinafter described and i to 3 drawn in the Fig. Embodiment wherein the two contact groups o, 2, q., 6, and 1, 3, 5 are next to each other housed in an insulating I. The current is drawn from the tapping contacts that go straight through the insulating tube and are in groups with gaps through two movable, spring-loaded counter-contacts I <1 and h =, which up and down in the corresponding colire halves with the help of two contact push rods S 'and S'-' can be moved. If the round pipe cross-section is selected, these contact push rods suitably adapt to the curvature of the pipe and run in a metallic guide F 'and F2 that is firmly connected to the pipe, once to keep mechanical friction away from the insulating pipe, but then also to move through these fixed counter bars Conduct current to the appropriate load switch poles-A and B. Rollers R are attached to the parts of the two contact push rods S 'and S2 that protrude beyond the contact rows at the same distance as the tapping contacts are below them. A cylinder Z made of insulating material engages in this, on the circumference of which a thrust curve is milled in accordance with the development in Fig. Since the thrust curve runs on half the circumference of the cylinder without a slope and only on the other half of the circumference with a slope corresponding to the contact spacing, with every movement of the insulating cylinder by 180 °, only the contact push rod grasped by the rising curve is advanced by one division, while the other is held in its previous position by the non-rising half of the curve.
Durch die konzentrische Anordnung von Antriebswelle l-7 und
Isolierrohr I wird "der ganze Stufenwähler besonders einfach. Dies tritt
The concentric arrangement of drive shaft l-7 and insulating tube I makes the entire tap selector particularly simple. This becomes all the more apparent when, as shown in Fig The two guide rails F1 and F = of the push contact rods then run to the upper end of the tube, where they apply the selected voltages directly to the load switch.
,4 in Abb. 2) weggelassen.
The straight thrust selector has an increase in the tapping contacts
in contrast to the circular selector the advantage that the dimension of the entire apparatus
increases in a linear manner only by the extra length, while the. Dimensions
of all other voters increase at least by the square. It is therefore also
possible without excessive enlargement of the selector, for the purpose of connection and counter connection
a transformer winding to arrange all tap contacts twice in the same row
and they depending on the position of a single-pole commutator in the direction of the supply or
Use a counter circuit to the mains voltage. To this with many level selectors

Has mixed up the step winding (D to 4.). This happens, as can be seen from Fig. 2,
while the contact push rod S1 moves the selector contact from tap i to 3,

will. The lever N transmits its movement through the insulating piece ILl to the commutation switch
11S, who performs the contact change described above.

erfolgen. The thrust selector described above, housed in an insulating tube, now allows this single-pole commutator KS to be accommodated in the simplest way by inserting the push rod G, which is used for the alternating connection of the unregulated mains contact D with the start or end contact o or 4 of the step winding -An insulating tube H with an elongated cross-section accommodates between the two rows of tapping contacts. The power supply can then with the unregulated NTetzkontakt D, z. B. by emptying flexible copper strands from the insulating tube II.
Such a tap selector equipped with commutation and load switch
in tube form is not too long despite the larger number of stages, but above all
even with high currents and high operating voltages, only a very small,
also circular cross-section. As a result, such a tap selector can be
without dismantling it again after the preliminary test carried out in the assembled state.

the mechanical connection between the drive shaft and the drive must be established.
If you strengthen the insulating cylinder at its passage through

Use it as a bushing and install it as shown in Fig. 3. This embodiment
is sufficient for indoor use. For installation outdoors, the outer
Part of the insulating cylinder, however, can still be provided with a porcelain cover,
as is common practice with hard paper feedthroughs.
