In Fig. ι ist die Ansicht des Gasofens, in Fig. 2 a und 2 b der Schnitt desselben dargestellt. Fig. 3 zeigt die obere Ansicht des Wasserbehälters. χ χ ist die äufsere Blechwandung und yy der im Innern angebrachte Mantel, ρ p ist eine ringförmige Vertiefung zur Aufnahme von Wasser, auf dessen Oberfläche zwei die Rohrstutzen ν und n> schliefsende Kappen s und t mittelst untergelegten Korkrandes schwimmen. Die durch Verbrennen des Gases in gewöhnlicher Art erzeugte heifse Luft tritt aus dem ringförmigen Raum zwischen χ und y durch die Rohrstutzen ν und n> unter die leichten Kupferkapseln und entweicht durch das Wasser in das Zimmer, wobei die schädlichen Verbrennungsproducte durch das Wasser zurückgehalten werden. Es bedarf also eines Kamins nicht, und die erzeugte Wärme des verbrannten Gases erleidet keinerlei Verluste.In Fig. Ι the view of the gas furnace, in Fig. 2a and 2b the section of the same is shown.
