Durch das neue Verfahren soll erreicht werden, daß bei der Entnahme des Hochdruckgases der Druck des im Druckbehälter befindlichen, vollständig in Gasform übergegangenen Sauerstoffes o. dgl. annähernd konstant gehalten wird. Ein den kritischen Druck überschreitender Druck kann also im Behälter überhaupt nicht entstehen. Das Gas im Behälter befindet sich infolgedessen in flüssigem Zustande, und die durch die Rohrschlange zugeführte Wärme dient lediglich zur Verdampfung der Flüssigkeit. Das neue Verfahren will hohe Drücke benutzen, bei denen sich der Sauerstoff nicht mehr in flüssigem Zustande befindet, sondern ganz in Gasform übergegangen ist. Hierbei dient die zugeführte Beheizungswärme nicht mehr zur Verdampfung der Flüssigkeit, sondern zur Überhitzung des im Behälter befindlichen Kaltgases. Dadurch wird erreicht, daß der Druck des Gases trotz der Entnahme annähernd konstant bleibt. Der Erfindung liegt die Erkenntnis zugrunde, daß es bei Verwendung des an sich bekannten Beheizungsverfahrens möglich ist, den Druck im Innern des Behälters auch dann konstant zu erhalten, wenn hohe Drücke zur Verwendung kommen und sich im Behälter nur Gas allein befindet.
