Description

Resistance wire provided with a metallic protective layer for electric radiators as a material for resistance wires in electric radiators one uses mostly hard-wearing materials. It is also suggested have been to apply special protective layers. With metallic protective layers however, it often turns out that after a certain time despite the protective layer an evolution of the resistance wires occurs. The present invention is based on the knowledge that this leads to the formation of mixed crystals between the material the protective layer and its base is to blame. The protective layer diffuses gradually into the resistance wire, so that after a certain time the Resistance wire is exposed to the effects of atmospheric oxygen. According to the Invention, therefore, the protective layer is made of a material with its Base does not form mixed crystals. Since you have a lot of choices in the choice of materials is limited, it is useful to use intermediate coats with the protective layer do not form mixed crystals. For example, if you want the resilience of Resistance wires, which consist of an alloy of chromium and nickel, still «-conductors increase, they are provided according to the invention with a thin copper coating and then with a chrome plating. The copper plating prevents the chrome from gradually increasing migrates into the resistance wire. Also recommended for protecting iron wires it is advisable to use Z% viscliv nscliiclites made of copper.
