Nach der Erfindung werden an einer Querschiene einer solchen Nähmaschine seitlich verschiebbare Halter zum Überstreifen der Säcke angebracht, die einen Rand des Sackes der Nähvorrichtung darbieten und der Weite der Säcke entsprechend auseinandergestellt werden können. Das Straffhalten der Sackwand wird durch federnde Vorsprünge an den Haltern bewirkt. An den Haltern sind Anschläge für die Kante des Sackes angeordnet.
