Description
The invention relates to golf clubs with a striking head attached to a steel tube. It is known to attach the steel tube in the impact head this on the HaIsansatz to be provided with a blind hole, which also has a soft metal filling that secures the shaft end can get. But there is no durable attachment in this way, since the shaft end through the continued high tensile and torsional stresses when using the golf club soon loosens. Attempts have also been made to expand the shaft by spreading the To fasten the shaft ends on the impact head or the parts by screwing together connect to. With the first type of fastening, it was necessary to drill through the impact head to the bottom. Such through holes are very disadvantageous in many respects. she must in all cases widen conically downwards, around one for the high stress to be able to achieve sufficient durability of the connection when using the game device, the attachment of the Shank in the neck of the impact head or in a sleeve arranged in this only through Tightening or driving in conical or wedge-like connectors from the Can be made from underside of the impact head. As a result of this arrangement must also the neck of the percussion head has a clumsy shape that widens conically at the bottom, which is disadvantageous for the handling or effect of the device when striking. Further is almost always a cumbersome rework at the lower end of the conical hole of the neck to be used on the impact head sleeves and the like connecting wedges and the like protruding on one side of the golf head required after insertion, in order to obtain a curved smooth transition surface from the neck to the hammer head. The other well-known. Type of attachment a screw attachment connected to the shaft made of wood is inserted into a The threaded hole at the base of the neck is screwed to the hammer head, which of course is extremely inexpedient Connection type represents, because when using left-hand thread on the shaft pin, the thread is through the Effect of the blows so tight that it can only be loosened with tools, while when using a right-hand thread an automatic loosening occurs when striking.
Zur Erreichung dieses Zweckes wird die Weichmetallfüllung desAll the disadvantages mentioned are avoided according to the invention. This consists of the combination of spreading apart the serrated shaft end in a blind hole at the base of the neck on the head. Threaded connections are used in this fastening and a through hole on the impact head avoided, but on the other hand a permanent good hold of the connection of Shank and impact head achieved even under heavy use. To achieve this The purpose is the soft metal filling of the
Blind holes designed as lining to be produced by pouring in and drilling out the filling compound, the prongs of the shaft engage in the wall like a barb after being spread open. The spreading of the Zig-zag is expediently made according to a known pattern by inserting one into the blind hole Spreading body, such as a ball, cone, or the like. The neck of the impact head ίο is after inserting the shaft and the Spreading apart of the prongs, displacing the soft metal, conically compressed, so that the neck and shaft in the ready-to-use state of the device lie directly against one another with pressure.

The neck 2 of the impact head 1 receives a cylindrical bore 3, which is made with soft metal 4 is poured out. The soft metal is with. a cylindrical bore 5 provided in which the very slightly tapered shaft end 6, which receives prongs 7 at the end, comfortably goes in. At the bottom of the bore 3, a cone or a pyramidal body or an ordinary ball 8 is introduced and the shaft 6 is pressed against it so that its prongs 7 spread apart and penetrate the soft metal. Then the Neck 2 indented too conically after its end, the soft metal being completely displaced is, so that neck 2 and shaft 6 lie directly against each other with pressure.
