Description

Process for the production of a mouthpiece covering for cigarettes under Use of dried flower petals It is known to use a mouthpiece covering for cigarettes to produce in such a way that the covering material with a seamless backing to a Bobine is united. It has also been suggested to cut petals at right angles punch out and glue around the mouth end of a cigarette by hand. When manufacturing However, difficulties arose with a mouthpiece covering bobbin made of flower petals insofar as the natural color of the petal was difficult to maintain and in so far as the drying of the petal causes certain signs of shrinking occurred which caused the bobbin to tear. According to the invention, these This avoids shrinkage when processing dried petals «So that the petals are first softened by means of steam, then under Applying heat will be pressed flat and dried so that you can get off the petals Punch out pieces that can be attached to one another and place the per se on a tissue paper pad known bobbin strips can be glued on. In such a procedure warps the base is no longer and the color of the petals is well preserved. For example, one proceeds as follows: The pre-dried and hermetic from premature The access to air and moisture will be preserved and thus preserved petals gradually softened and made elastic by means of water vapors that are as cool as possible and then between soft and absorbent materials, e.g. B. smooth, thick blotting paper or soft, smooth fabric surfaces, laid flat and under pressure and gentle heat (about 3o to 4o °) brought to dryness.

The dry pressed flat petals sorted by size are now according to the invention by means of punching into the shape of geometric parts brought in such a way that the side lengths or the broad sides of the figures are at right angles and can be put together appropriately.

The material prepared in this way is now finally cemented on the carrier surface by means of an adhesive.
