Einrichtung zur Verringerung der Dampfmenge vor den Anoden von Quecksilberdampfgleichrichtern mit Dampfdom und einem gegen den Arbeitsraum durch einen mit der Behälterwandung abschließenden Einsatz abgesonderten besonderen Kondensationsraum für den Quecksilberdampf Das Patent 543 954 betrifft eine Einrichtung zur Verringerung der Dampfmenge vor den Anoden von Quecksilberdampfgleichrichtern in Metallgehäuse mit zentraler Kathode und darüber zentral angeordnetem Dampfdom sowie einem die Anoden umfassenden, zur Lichtbogenführung dienenden Einsatz innerhalb des Arbeitsraumes, der mit einer zentralen Durchtrittsöffnung für den Quecksilberdampf versehen ist. Die Einrichtung nach dem Hauptpatent ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Rand des Einsatzes mit einer Behälterwand abschließt und mit dieser einen besonderen Kondensationsraum bildet und daß außerdem der Dampfdom so weit in das Innere des Arbeitsraumes hinein verlängert ist, daß sein unterer Rand mit dem oberen Rand des Konus des Einsatzbodens einen Spalt bildet. Zur Verbesserung der Kondensation desOuecksilberdampfes in dem besonderen Kondensationsraum ist vorgeschlagen, eine Mantelkühlung vorzusehen.
