Um die Seitenränder der Kernpolster erstreckt sich ein Polster in Form eines dicken Bandes, das aus einem mit Polstermaterial 4 gefüllten schlauchartigen Gewebestück 3 bestehen kann. Auf der Ober- und Unterseite des Kernpolsters sind dicke Lagen 5 und 6 eines Deckpolsters aufgebracht. Diese Deckpolster erstrecken sich nach außen über das das Kernpolster überragende Randpolster. Die Höhe oder Tiefe jedes Halters ist erheblich größer als die entsprechende Abmessung einer der Ösen, so daß der Boden jedes Halters sich um ein erhebliches Maß in die Matratze hineinerstreckt, wenn der Halter in eine Öse eingesetzt ist.
