Electromagnetic shaking device for the production of amalgam mixtures,
in particular for dental purposes The invention relates to a device for
Manufacture of amalgam mixtures, in particular for dental purposes. It is
It has already been proposed to do the manual kneading work, mechanical devices,
in particular to be replaced by the armature of an electromagnet, in which a
the bushing containing substances to be amalgamated is introduced. Such facilities
are built in the manner of a Wagner or Neef hammer and work like that
an electric bell. -It has been shown, however, that the effect of such
electric amalgam mixer is quite unreliable. Once is the shaking frequency
of such a relay no more than 20 to 40 oscillations per second. Besides
but the frequency depends on the setting of the contact screws or on
the scorching off and soiling of the contacts and finally the load on the
Anchor and other mechanical influences.
According to the invention, therefore, is used to produce amalgam mixtures
an alternating current relay is used whose number of oscillations is independent of such
Influences is and is known to be inevitably dependent on. the number of periods
of the network. Since the usual mains frequency is 50 periods, the anchor leads
of a relay connected to such a network thus-one hundred double oscillations
per second off. The shaking effect is therefore three to five times as intense as
in the previously known electromagnetic amalgam mixers. Moreover, it is perfect
regardless of the randomness of the contact formation.
The relay according to the invention can be designed in various ways
be. Some exemplary embodiments are shown in the drawing, namely:
Fig. R a relay in the usual design for manual operation, Fig. A a dynamic one
balanced. Amalgaan mixer for stationary operation and Fig.3 a polarized one
AC relay. On the H-shaped soft iron core 2,
which can be laminated in order to avoid eddy currents and hysteresis losses
can, the parallel or series-connected windings 3 and q. appropriate,
the lead 6 with alternating current, for example, led through a handle 5
are fed so that the ends of the legs have alternating north and south polarity.
The lower leg of the H-shaped core can be left unwound. On the one
The expediently laminated anchor -7 is at the end of the unwound leg
fixed by means of a spring 13 bent at right angles; its upper end is
with a fork-shaped split spring 1q. provided, the legs of which 8
and
9 are expediently provided with holes in which the pins io a two-part
Socket ii can be inserted.
When the device is connected to the AC mains, the armature 7
attracted to the magnetic core 2 with a frequency corresponding to the number of mains periods
and can be withdrawn from this again under the action of its spring i3-. As the establishment
does not have any interruption contacts or adjusting screws, is the number of vibrations
of the armature only depends on the mains frequency.
In the embodiment shown in Fig. I, the oscillation
of the armature 7 vibrates the entire device and thus also the hand of its user
cause. According to the invention, this can be avoided by being on
the open side of the H-shaped core a second anchor 77 is arranged, whose
Mass is matched to the mass of the oscillating system y, 14, 8, 9, i o, r r.
This second anchor can either be blind or completely modeled on the first
, whereby two -Amallgammischungen can be produced at the same time.
Such a device, as shown in Fig. 2, is dynamically perfectly balanced
and does not generate any vibrations during operation, so it is especially suitable for
stationary installation is suitable and not, as it is with an instrument according to
Fig. I would be the case, begins to migrate on a table top during operation.
Fig. 3 shows another embodiment of an amalgam mixer according to the invention,
in which the armature 7 is provided with a winding 12. This armature winding
can be in series or parallel to the field winding, it calls an additional gain
of the magnetic field. A. Such a device may be referred to as a polarized relay
will. In this embodiment, too, it is possible and recommended for the purpose
to provide two anchors for balancing.
