flachen Gefäßes a, welches mit aufsaugenden Stoffen, etwa Asbestwatte, Schlackenwolle
Burner for optional use, of gaseous or liquid
Fuel The invention relates to a burner which is used as such
is set up by liquid as well as gaseous fuels. This is the
Given the possibility that one and the same burner can also be used there,
where a gas connection is not available, such as when traveling in the country
etc. is the case. The burner is set up in such a way that a container for receiving
of the liquid fuel consisting of a hollow ring or hollow cylinder and
surrounds gas burner provided with an annular discharge opening. On the drawing
an embodiment of the subject invention is shown. Within a
flat vessel a, which is filled with absorbent materials such as asbestos wadding, slag wool
o. The like., Is filled and is covered by sieves b at the top, is a double cylinder
c, d attached. The vessel a is used to hold the liquid fuel (spirit,
Petroleum and the like). The double cylinder c, d, which at the top is a narrow, ring-shaped one
opening I serves as a gas burner. The introduction of the gas e opens laterally
down in this cylinder.
The burner opening I is surrounded by the burner opening II, from which the flame emerges when operating with liquid fuels. The burner opening II is limited to the outside by the upper edge of the housing f. Above the burner opening I is the distribution funnel g, which at the bottom has a slightly smaller diameter than the cylindrical air shaft formed by the inner wall c of the double cylinder already mentioned. The bottom of the housing f is provided in the outer part with openings h , which are used for air supply.
h eintretende Kaltluft den Behälter a abkühlt.
Zuleitung e vorgenommen. If gas is to be used for heating, it enters the hollow cylinder c,
d and forms the flame at the annular opening I. In the case of liquid fuel
this is poured into the vessel a. The fuel is then through the opening
II ignited. The fuel is here and also due to the developing heat
gasified outside the vertical cylinder. Since the latter, however, the penetration
prevents the flame from entering the outer part of the fuel container a, this is what happens
Gas only ignites inside the vertical sieve cylinder. By the restriction
the effect of heat on the inner part of this screen cylinder becomes excessive
Prevents heating of the fuel while at the same time passing through the openings
h incoming cold air cools the container a. Air is supplied for both
Types of fuels both through the bottom openings la as well as through the hollow cylinder
c provided that the apparatus is on an air-permeable, perforated
or sieve-like base. The path of the air is indicated by arrows on the drawing
illustrated. The admixture of air to the gaseous fuel becomes the production
a gas mixture burning without residue expediently already in the course of the
Lead e made.
