Description

Process for @collecting floating liquid or solid particles from moving gases or vapors, especially from air intended for breathing purposes The invention relates to a method for collecting floating liquid or solid particles from moving gases or vapors, especially from air, which is intended for breathing purposes. and consists essentially in the application of one Filters_from solid electret bodies - which in itself be'käntiter- way by allowing them to solidify fusible insulators _ are produced in the electrical field. It is already known to use silicon monoxide powder for cleaning gases. This powder is obtained by heating silicon dioxide, e.g. B. by electric current in the air-diluted room in the presence of a reducing substance. Silicon monoxide is a very finely divided powder, which is very negative electrical. It will used to purify gases in the manner. (Let the gases to be purified through Sili7iummonoxydpulver blown or sat through. This method has the disadvantage that in this process the positively charged suspended particles from the gases to be purified into (read silicon monoxide powder. (read gas is then but contaminated with silicon oxide powder and needs to be cleaned again. The known method can also be carried out in such a way that the silicon nonionoxy (ipowder on a carrier made of porous material, e.g. B. Canvas. is applied. so (let in Filter cloth is created through which the gas to be cleaned is blown. These Atiwetiduilgsforni has the disadvantage that because of the low liability of the Silicitililiotioxvdteilclieti ani carrier the speed. with which that Gas is blown through the filter. be kept within low limits inull. Furthermore, no possibility of ordering a silicon unit non-oxv (1 powder-coated Clean the cloth filter. when it is distributed. A mechanical cleaning medium: Tapping or brushing the filter is out of the question. because the Siliziunimonoxydpartikelchen would fall off the wearer. For the same reason, cleaning with liquids is also possible not possible.

According to the invention, the purification of gases. especially of air. which is intended for breathing. in the way by-2-1 dali leaks in the form of solid bodies are used to purify gases. These electrets are made in a manner known per se from fusible insulators, e.g. B. Resins n. Wach :. Horn. Rubber. Shellac ti- # tv., Mountains represents. which are frozen in a strong electric field. These electrets have the following advantages: They are made from cheap raw materials. z. B. Resins. Shellac and the like can be produced in the simplest way by allowing it to solidify in the electric field, so they do not require the application of a vacuum, as is necessary in the production of silicon monoxide powder. Here electrets can be in the form of solid bodies. For example, plates, disks, prisms, hubs, briefly formed in any shape - earth, which essentially simplifies the incorporation of this substance in filter apparatus . are the Elektretkörper heavily loaded with dust, they can. without being influenced in their electrical properties anyway. by wiping. brushing or rinsing in soluble technologies more z. 13 in alcohol. cleaning. so dal, i (las The filter can be used again immediately after this cleaning, without having lost its effect, in contrast to the silicon-ionic solvent filter, which cannot be cleaned. @UR.; Erdeni is The shelf life of electrets, which retain their properties for practically years, is a very large one. what for the use of electret filters in industrial plants, e.g. B. as filling material for Ga # nias- ixen for worker protection, for the _ln m # en- in the chemical industry, in crane hospitals, factories, theaters, restaurants, Laboratories. Mines. of considerable Meaning is. While the silicate innnonowdptilver only is negative electrical, provides the use solid electret body, "-which both nega- tive as well as positive suspended particles catch the benefit of a long-haul Gas cleaning. as-it when applying Siliciumnionolvdpulver is possible.
