Description

Method for monitoring the drying processes in the artificial Drying of wood It is known the course of the drying processes with the artificial The drying of wood in the chambers can be observed by looking at different Place test pieces, which are taken out for control and weighed. It is also known to place these test pieces on a scale which is in the Chamber is set up. This way of working has the disadvantage that the small ones Pieces dry out on all sides and therefore dry differently than the stored ones Timbers of the loading. A constant and correct monitoring can be after the Carry out the invention by giving the specimens precisely defined dimensions there, about length and width of 5 cm, while the thickness of those to be dried Boards corresponds. The pages that should not take part in the drying process, are covered by discs made of metal or other materials and the whole thing in this form hung in a pointer scale. To avoid excessive deflections in the scales one has already met facilities when weighing the whole pile of wood, to balance out the initial weight of the dried material to be observed. That makes but a special setting is necessary for each new weighing. It has shown, that a substantial simplification of the weighing with sufficient restriction of the A deflection is possible if, in a corresponding manner, only the unchangeable weight the sealing plates and the suspension device for the pieces of wood to be observed is balanced. In this way it is possible even with a proportionate small scales to make very precise weighings down to a tenth of a gram.

PATENT CLAIM: A method for monitoring the drying processes in the artificial drying of wood by continuously checking the weight of a test piece, characterized in that the side surfaces of the test piece are covered by metal sheets and hung in a pointer scale balanced in a known manner to determine the weight loss.
