Description
Spray electrode made of barbed wire for electric gas cleaners The invention relates to a spray electrode for electric gas cleaners, which consists of There is barbed wire. Electrodes of this type are already known. So had one z. B. inserted into a rod serving as a spray electrode, the transverse pins at the ends with spies. are provided. There will be such an increased spray effect achieved, but the manufacture of such electrodes is very cumbersome and expensive in relation to the small increase in spray effect achieved. One also has also made the suggestion to use the rod-shaped air outlet with a wire in helical shape Windungcll to wind, which has a sharp outer edge. With this version is now associated with the disadvantage that considerable operational disruptions occur when once the coiled sharp-edged wire tears at any point. It there is then the risk that the wire as a result of its inherent elasticity unwinds by itself and touches the collecting electrodes. You finally have also suggested using the usual barbed wire. But this one has again the disadvantage that the wire ends used to produce the spikes are only relatively large distances are wound on the carrier wire. As a result of the small number The spray effect of such a wire is therefore proportionate to the spray tips small amount. In the following a spray electrode made of barbed wire is shown, in which these deficiencies have been eliminated.
According to the invention is the spray electrode made of barbed wire designed in such a way that the for generating the spray tips on the carrier wire or wire pieces wound with their windings in a manner known per se lie directly next to one another. Such a spray electrode has on the one hand the advantage that the spray effect is very favorable due to the many spray tips; on the other hand, such an electrode is particularly suitable for the cheap Mass production. Finally, a special advantage is achieved insofar as than the pieces of wire wound close together on the carrier a considerable amount Offer protection for this against corrosion, as in this way the destructive effect Access to the carrier is very difficult for gases.
In Figs. R and 2 an embodiment of the invention is shown.
Around this wire are short pieces of wire 2 with a few turns that form the spikes wrapped around while the pointed ends are free in the air on all sides protrude and produce a good spray effect. The turn pieces are not like in the case of ordinary barbed wires wound at fairly large intervals, but rather arranged directly next to each other, which results in a significantly increased spray effect is achieved.
