Electrode for rectifier, which consists of alternating layers of one
Metal and a solid metal connection exist With static, dry rectifiers,
d. H. in the case of rectifiers, the electrodes of which are made of alternating layers of a metal
and a solid metal connection, depends on the level of the permissible current load
as well as the safety of operation depends significantly on the temperature on which
the rectifier heats up when the current passes through. In some cases the natural one is sufficient
Heat dissipation through radiation, especially when you are familiar with it
Put the heat into well-conductive metal disks between the individual rectifier cells
lays. In many cases, however, one will be compelled to use special means to prevent
that in some places inside the rectifier excessive heating
and thus the risk of a local breakdown occurs through which the relevant
Electrode destroyed and the whole rectifier would be put out of operation.
The invention relates to an electrode for rectifiers,
which by their means for an increased cooling effect, both for the natural
as well as for the artificial heat dissipation. the
Invention is based on the knowledge that it matters less the average
Keeping the temperature of the whole electrode as low as possible, rather than Wä
Congestion in individual places inside, with disc-shaped electrodes
especially in the vicinity of the disc axis. This purpose is according to
the invention achieved in that the electrode has the shape of a circular ring
Has a disc whose inner diameter is at least equal to half its outer diameter
is. The inner diameter of the electrode can be dimensioned so that one several
carrying and rectifier units composed of such n electrodes
bolts from the electrodes allowing them to be compressed with clearance
Is closed. This leeway can then be passed through if necessary
utilize a s gaseous or liquid coolant.
dient,
In the drawing, an embodiment of the object Erhndungsge is
pictured. t denotes a disk-shaped one made of copper and a copper oxide layer
d. existing rectifier electrode of circular ring shape, the outer diameter of which
about twice as large as their inner diameter. The inside diameter is in turn
chosen so that between a screw bolt coaxial with the electrode
a, the one for pressing the electrodes placed on top of each other together
serves,
and the inner boundary of the disk-shaped electrode an annular clearance
3 results. You can, if the natural heat dissipation, z. B. through between the
aluminum disks of larger diameter placed on individual rectifier cells,
Should not be enough, the ends of the screw bolt: 2 of a strong artificial one
Expose cooling and thereby create a dissipation to the outside of the electricity heat.
But you can also use the Rinraum 3 for the passage of a gaseous or liquid
Use coolant. In many cases, however, one becomes without these artificial means
get by, since the circular shape per se with the selected ratio of the inner diameter
Heat accumulations that are unfavorable to the outside diameter (> 1/2) are particularly advantageous
able to prevent inside the electrode, in other words a reinforced one
Cooling effect.
Of course, several of the specified means can also be used as required
unite with each other, which then makes the cooling even more extensive.
In the case of dry rectifiers, which consist of several on one screw bolt
arranged metal disks exist, it is known per se to form the disks in this way
and with respect to the screw bolt to be arranged so that it leaves the bolt with clearance
enclose. It is also known per se, planar layers stacked one on top of the other
Electrodes (e.g. from spark gaps) that have a central hole
Introducing coolant (e.g. cooling air) into this bore to cool.
