Durch die Ausbildung der Kühltrommel, wie sie oben angegeben ist, wird erreicht, daß der Gutstrom in einzelne Teilströme zerlegt wird, wodurch eine wesentlich schnellere Abkühlung erzielt werden kann, namentlich in Verbindung mit den an der Ofenstirnwand angeordneten Regelungsschiebern zum Eintritt der Verbrennungsluft.
