Abstract

A spring system for furniture, e.g. for armchairs, sofas and beds, has a plastic moulded module comprising a base mounting to fit onto a support frame, a hollow central spring and an upper mounting for the padding support for the furniture. The whole module is moulded as one unit using elastic material. The central spring has an open profile to each side and takes a separate sealed spring element made from a more elastic material than the module and filled with a fluid. The base mounting has clip fastening to the support frame while the top support is shaped to take laths and other support structures.
