Abstract

The coil spring (11) has a first end (12) pressing against a first pivoted (5) lever (4) at the front end of the seat pan (6). The lower end of the lever is pivoted (3) on the fixed seat frame (1). The spring has a guide mechanism (10,13). The second end of the spring presses on a pivot (9) on the end of a second lever (8) pivoted (7) near the rear end of the seat pan. The lever holding the backrest (20) is pivoted (18) on the seat frame. A roller (16) presses against a cam surface (17) on the second lever. A locking device (19) on the back of the seat pan consists of a pin (24) on the backrest lever engaging on teeth (22) on the end of the seat pan.
