Abstract
The method involves receiving a reproduced sound sequence, determining a frequency time profile, sound level and/or duration, separating into sound sub-sequences related in accordance with certain criteria, comparing with reference sub-sequences related to a breakdown of the reference sound sequence in accordance with the same criteria and outputting a reference sequence(s) with the closest match between received sound and reference sub-sequences. The method involves receiving a reproduced sound sequence, determining a frequency time profile and sound level and/or duration, separating the sound sequence into several sound sub-sequences related in accordance with certain criteria, comparing the sub-sequences with reference sub-sequences (R1-R3) related to a breakdown of the reference sound sequence (1-3) in accordance with the same criteria and outputting at least one reference sequence with the closest agreement between received sound and reference sub-sequences.
