Abstract

The device has an expansion channel for producing carbon dioxide crystals from liquid carbon dioxide, and a venturi nozzle (7) for discharging the crystals, where the nozzle mixes the crystals with abrasive additives. The crystals and the additives are fed into a section (25) of small cross section of the nozzle, and the channel is partially spiral shaped around a compression part (23) of the nozzle. The additives are selected from a group consisting of lava granules, oil emulsive core e.g. cherry stone, glass beads and plastic granules e.g. polyethylene, polyamide and polycarbonate. An independent claim is also included for a method for cleaning surfaces of an object using dry snow.
