Abstract
The method involves executing and evaluating a test procedure by a control circuit (52) after occurrence of connection of a load (14) to respective dimmer channels (6, 16, 23, 35, 43). One of the channels is successively and separately controlled during a given time interval, by the control circuit. A voltage signal available at an outlet (13) is detected by control electronics of the channels. The dimmer channels switched parallel to composite dimmer groups (5, 34) are determined based on the detected voltage signal, by the control circuit.
