Abstract

The breech has a base part arranged at a rear side of a weapon tube, and a breech wedge (9) that is adjustable in a recess of the base part perpendicular to a bore axis of the tube. The wedge has two layers (12, 13) that are arranged consecutively and engaged in corresponding slots of the side parts of the recess. Contact surfaces of the layers and the corresponding slots have positive and negative inclinations, respectively.
