Abstract

A liquid steel extrusion casting mould has an adjustment mechanism for several copper plates (7) surrounding the casting chamber (2). Adjustment is effected by pairs of hydraulic cylinders (6a, 6b). The copper plates (7) are adjustable in terms of their angle (C) or casting width (W). The narrow side of the mould plates (5) are coupled to the cylinder housing (6c) by a pivoting link (8).
