Abstract
The device for the guided movement of eddy current sensors (12) along railway tracks for non-destructive testing of the surface has the sensors fastened to a roller mounted support plate (5) and this can slide on the rails or guided along it by rollers. The support consists at least partially of ferromagnetic material and with regard to its magnetic or magnetic inductive action on the track switching means is matched to a standard wheel of a rail vehicle.
