Abstract

The device has several individual PTC elements connected electrically to form a group and selected from a production run of elements so the group maintains a predefined group tolerance with respect to an electrical parameter. A predefinable fixed number of PTC elements is provided for the group with individual tolerances in a range outside that corresponding to the group tolerance so they maintain the group tolerance as nested PTC element groups.
