Abstract

The invention relates to a method for foaming metal powder. The metal powder is mixed with a foaming agent. The mixture consisting of the metal powder and the foaming agent is compacted to form a blank which is subsequently foamed. Before foaming, the blank (2) is supplied to an extruder (1). A refrigerated gas is at least temporarily supplied to the extruder.
