Description

Durch die Vereinigung von Leder und Celluloid oder Cellon wird die zu große Elastizität des Celluloids oder Cellons etwas unterbunden, anderseits läßt das gepreßte Rindhartleder ein Brechen des Celluloids oder Cellons nicht zu.Process for the manufacture of insoles for supporting the arch of the foot The invention relates to a method for manufacturing insoles for support of the arch of the foot and consists in the fact that on the by means of a plaster cast of the diseased or deformed foot, foot model removed first from cowhide leather and then Celluloid or Cellon o. The like. Is pressed from about z to 5 mm thickness, whereupon this Both layers using acetone, vinegar or the like, also with pressure applied the model will be inextricably linked. On the underside of the sole is underneath the heel and the front part felt o. The like. Pressed, which as an elastic bearing lining serves and due to its friction an excessive flattening of the, sole when loaded avoids. While the leather is pressed while it is moist, the pressing takes place of the celluloid or C.ellons in boiling water using a screw press elastic pad. The strength of the celluloid or cellon will be accordingly the body weight chosen to align with the elasticity of the ankles to reach. For example, cellulose, oid, or cellon of about 26/10 mm thick corresponds to one Body weight of about 50 kg. If the arch of the foot is weak, however, a load of 50 kg of even stronger celluloid or cellon can be used (28/10 mm) to make a To prevent excessive flattening of the arch of the foot due to the physical strain. That Pressed leather is now soaked on the underside with acetone or vinegar ether pressed celluloid or cellon underneath and both parts pressed together again. Due to the dissolving properties of acetone or vinegar ether, the celluloid or Cellon completely and during the longer pressing with the pressed hard cowhide intimately connected and at the same time an exact and permanent replica of the shape of the feet achieved. The union of leather and celluloid or cellon makes it too large The elasticity of the celluloid or cellon is somewhat restricted, on the other hand the pressed one leaves Cowhide leather does not prevent celluloid or cellulose from breaking.

To prevent the celluloid or cellon underside from slipping in the shoe, is formed at the bottom of the celluloid or cellons under the heel and Glued on felt under the front part with acetone or vinegar ether and again pressed in the said way. This felt pad prevents the Footrest when exposed to body weight, especially in the arch part, the length after stretching too much; because the felt pad allows this only to a very limited extent Measure too, as the felt acts as a brake when placed under load in the shoe. Through appropriate The thickness of the felt pad can change the static load on the foot at the same time will.

Those made by the process of the present invention Insoles have thus compared to the known footrests the Advantage that they fit exactly. The elasticity of the support is due to the insoluble The combination of hard leather, celluloid or cellon and felt is limited to the extent that that the foot as a whole receives an effective support and at the same time a stiffening the ankles is avoided. If these footrests are glued into the shoes, this is how you get orthopedic shoes in high perfection. Will be appropriate for the purpose the leather as a whole is cut about 1 cm larger than the celluloid or Cellon and this protruding leather edge bevelled outwards, making a good one The transition between the footrest and the shoe is achieved and the upper edge is pushed through des-celluloids or cellons on the foot is excluded.

The subject of the invention is shown in the drawing in one embodiment for example illustrated. Fig. I shows the footrest on the foot seen from below and Fig.2 shows a longitudinal section through the foot and footrest. With a is the pressed cowhide leather denotes, with b the celluloid or Cel-Ion and with c the lower felt pad.
