Description
Method of Making a Baking Tray With Reinforced Corners Bei all kinds of baking trays used in bakeries and pastry shops as well as also with those in the biscuit, wafer and biscuit factories and the relevant others The seam plates used by large companies come from the continued use of these Sheets very soon wear the corners by pushing them off. The subject the invention now forms a baking or hem sheet, in which the corners in such a way are reinforced that the normal service life of such a sheet is around a Increased several times compared to the usual sheet metal. The essential feature of the invention consists in that the corner reinforcement without waste of sheet metal from the baking sheet itself is carved out, so that the corner with the reinforcement without a special Material expenditure comes about.
In the drawing is a baking sheet and a hem sheet, which are in accordance with the Invention are provided with reinforced corners, for example shown, namely show: Fig. z to 3 each a top view of the corner of a sheet for illustration the gradual creation of the corner reinforcement, Fig..I a side view of a baking sheet with reinforced corners and Fig. 5 a top view of a corner of the Baking tray base. Fig. 6 and 7 each show a top view of the corner of a hem plate during the preparation of the same.
Fig.8 shows a top view of a part of a finished one And Fig. 9 shows a longitudinal section along the line A-B in Fig. 8.
The corner reinforcement of a baking sheet is made as follows. The baking sheet a, which can be provided with three or four edges at any height in the usual way, is cut to a rectangular shape, the corners b are cut off bluntly (Fig. Z), whereupon they hit the sheet at an angle of .a.5 ° a so that they lie flat on the sheet metal. Then the reinforcement edges c are folded over in the direction of the lines d drawn in Fig. R, whereby the sheet metal is given the shape shown in Fig. A at the corners. The sheet metal part f (Fig. 2) is now cut out in the direction of the two lines c, so that the shape shown in Fig. 3 is obtained. The side walls g are then bent up in the direction of the lines lt drawn in Fig. 3 perpendicular to the sheet metal a , so that the edges i meet. which can be welded together. The strips j form the corner reinforcement on which the reinforcement edges c are still placed, and the butt-cut edge b lies under the bottom of the sheet a (Figs. 4 and 5). Apart from the welding of the abutting edges i and the folding of the sheet metal edges, no additional work is therefore required by the reinforcement of the corners of the sheet metal, and no additional consumption of material is required either.
The edge sheet shown in Figs. 8 and 9 receives the corner reinforcement in the same way as a baking sheet. Figs. I and 6 therefore coincide. The section f'- in the middle of the edge folded over onto the sheet a is, however, only small, as Fig. 7 shows. The reinforcement edges c are folded over onto the plate a in the direction of the lines d , as in the case of the baking sheet, the reinforcement parts k and l formed from the folded edge coming to lie one on top of the other, so that the sheet lies four times at the corners, whereby a very considerable Service life of the sheet is reached, which is subject to heavy wear, especially at the corners. While on the baking tray the reinforcements j protrude on the outside at the corners (Fig. 4), the reinforcements k, Z on the edge tray are on the inside (Fig. 9). However, the reinforcements can also be carried out in reverse.
The corner reinforcement described for baking trays with upright Edge (Fig. 4, 5) can also be attached to square transport boxes, which are also attached to the corners are subject to heavy wear, 'use advantageously.
