Die Abb. 5, 6 und 7 stellen zwei Einzelteile in größerem llaßstabe
dar. Die Vorrichtung besteht aus einem kräftigen Rahmen. a, der an seinem, linken
Ende mit einem Widerlager b für die zu bindende Diele c versehen ist. Am anderen
Ende des Rahmens a sind nebeneinander zwei Lagerböcke d und E befestigt, in denen
eine Spindel f gelagert ist. Die Spindel f ist hohl, und in ihr liegt
eine zweite Spindel g, deren zugehöriges Muttergewinde imt Lagerbock d liegt. -
Durch Drehung der Spindel g mittels des Vierkants am rechten Ende kann man daher
ihren stempelförmigen Kopf h. gegen die Diele c pressen, wobei man das eine Ende
des Bandeisens i (Abb. 3) festklemmt. Das andere Ende k der Schleife, auf welches
vorher eine Blechhülse 1 aufgeschoben worden ist, wird mittels des Hebels in. an
einer Wan-
dermutter ja festgeklemmt, die auf der Spindel f verschiebbar ist.
1lan kann sie daher durch Drehung der Spindel f an ihrem freien rechten Ende nach
rechts bewegen und dadurch die Bandschleife spannen. Bevor man mit dem Spannen beginnt,
schiebt man die Blechhülse l nach rechts über das freie Ende des Bandeisens i. herüber,
so daß sie in die in Abb. d. gezeichnete Lage gelangt. Zur Herstellung der Verbindung
zwischen der Hülse 1 und den beiden in ihr liegenden Schleifenenden dient ein Meißel
o (Abb.5 und 6). Dieser sitzt an einem Arm p und ist mittels eine: Drehgelenkes
q auf dem Rahmen a.
schwingbar gelagert (Abb. a). In Abb. F

diese Vorrichtung, um die Deutlichkeit nicht zu beeinträchtigen, fortgelassen. Der
Arm p wird, wenn nach Drehung der Spindel f die nötige Spannung der Bandschleife
erreicht ist, in die Arbeitsstellung geschwungen. Durch einen Schlag auf seinen
Kopf o werden die Einkerbungen r erzeugt. Zweckmäßig wird,die Arbeitsfläche des
Meißels so ausgebildet, daß dabei gleichzeitig ein Zeichen in die Hülse L eingeprägt
wird. Nunmehr kann der Stempel li. zurückgezogen und die Klemme in gelöst werden.
Das überstehende Bandende k wird abgeschnitten. Die fertige Bandschleife wird zweckmäßig
durch mehrere Krammen s (Alb-. 7) mit ganz dünnem Steg t und aufgerauhten
