Infolge der Wärmedehnungen und der großen Temperaturunterschiede ergeben sich aber leicht Betriebsstörungen, so daß diese Tiegel nicht nur kompliziert, sondern auch im Betrieb wenig zuverlässig sind. Erfindungsgemäß werden daher die Tiegel aus einem einheitlichen Grundstoff hergestellt, der in einer elektrisch nichtleitenden, unverbrennlichenMasse einen elektrisch leitenden, brennbaren Stoff fein verteilt enthält. Es kann z. B. ausgegangen werden von einem fein verteilten Gemisch von Ton und Graphit oder Kohlepulver. Dieser Tiegel wird zunächst in reduzierender Atmosphäre gebrannt und dann unter Sauerstoff oder Luftzutritt so hoch erhitzt, daß in den äußeren Schichten des Tiegels der Kohlestoff verbrennt, so daß diese nichtleitend werden und lediglich die Mittelschicht des Tiegels leitend ist.Process for the manufacture of a crucible for high-frequency electric furnaces The invention relates to the manufacture of a crucible for high-frequency electric furnaces from a uniform body.
